The Deluxe Thoroughbred Holster is the most comfortable IWB Tuckable holster we offer. This is a major upgrade from the original A-1 Thoroughbred Holster. The deluxe thoroughbred holster comes with a suede backing to add comfort against the body. We don’t stop there; we add memory foam like material embedded inside the suede backing to add a cushion to your body. So if you are leaning against your weapon, then it will feel like memory foam pillow against your side. People are sometimes turned away by the initial size of this holster. But actually this holster only adds 1/8 of an inch (plus the gun’s width) to your pants. The NEW Deluxe Thoroughbred Holster is now slimmer than the original A-1 Thoroughbred Holster.
Functionally of the deluxe thoroughbred is amazing and like no other holster. Conceals very nicely, wraps the body and distributes the weight of the firearm, thus giving the ability to carry a much larger frame gun. While being comfortable for all day wear and still having a smaller profile. The combat cut, as given on the original A-1 Thoroughbred is an additional $6.00 as for the new Deluxe Thoroughbred holster the option is given and FREE (check out FAQ page for more info regarding combat cut).
The Deluxe Thoroughbred holster offers the most protection from sharp edges, safety, slide locks, and beaver tails. Not only does it protect you from the gun, it also protects the gun from the salts and sweat from your skin (body oils). Comes with two powder coated spring steel holster clips that are adjustable for ride height. There are 3 holes 1 inch apart on each side of the holster to allow you to adjust the cant and ride height of your holster. For a better and faster draw!
There is many options that you can choose from to attach the holster to your pants or belt. Options like: tuckable leather straps with a metal grade directional snap, tuckable spring steel powdered coated metal clips and lastly our new Ulticlip3.
The Deluxe Thoroughbred has a reinforced mouth piece for easy re-holstering. We use heavy nylon thread to help reduce against dry rotten, tearing or snagging like cotton thread. With this holster you have the option to choose your thread color and holster color.
The holster clips can fit up to 1-1/2 gun belt (2 layer) or 1-3/4 regular belt (1 layer).
This is no doubt the holster of choice to be wearing IWB!

No one and I do mean no would make this holster …a few said they would and then didn’t and canceled even after taking my money….after years of looking and not so good reviews of mtr’s communication and wait times …nothing bad about their products….I took the chance sent them my money…communication not so good …wait time long….product 100% worth it nothing less than perfection will never buy a leather holster from anyone else again….now if we can get them into kydex…

This is an absolutely amazing holster. I purchased this to carry a 1911 in the 3 o’clock position and my expectations have been exceeded. It is probably the most comfortable and concealable IWB holster I have ever used. It causes the 1911 to hug the side of my body with very little printing. This is especially impressive to me because most other guns in my carry rotation are substantially smaller and lighter than this 1911, but this holster still does the job better. Also, the craftsmanship is top-notch. This holster isn’t cheap, but it feels absolutely on par with similarly priced holsters I have purchased elsewhere, and even on part with a couple of holsters I purchased years ago from a competitor for a lot more money.
TLDR: I have three boxes full of holsters in my closet and this is the best one of them all. I will be purchasing more for other carry guns.
As most people, I have worn many IWB holsters. Everyone has an opinion and insists the one they use is the best or another one someone else uses is the best. You end up with a multitude of unused holsters taking up space. Well, a dear friend recommended this holster to me and this was the ONE perfect recommendation! This holster is so absolutely comfortable that I forget it is even on. The leather will quickly mold to fit the shape of your body and you forget it is even on. I HIGHLY recommend this holster. It is worth the cost and it is worth the wait while it is being custom made to fit your make and model of firearm.
