Attachment (Laser Light)

Any holster purchased from MTR Custom Leather, LLC with a light/laser attachment on the weapon, may automatically come with an enclosed sewn bottom even if you choose open. However, if you definitely want an enclosed bottom please choose enclosed end under “Holster End” option. MTR Custom Leather, LLC takes into consideration that over time leather as we all know will stretch. Therefore, the retention of the holster may decrease. Having a laser/light attachment on the weapon will increase the weight of the weapon causing a decrease in the retention of the holster faster, than a weapon without a laser/light attachment. MTR Custom Leather, LLC adds an enclosed sewn bottom to most holsters, to ensure a long term use of the holster at no extra cost to you. Some lasers and light attachments causes the holster to become “boxy” in shape, due to the attachment is under the trigger guard. Weapons without an attachment, is held into the holster by the retention of the trigger guard angle (“L” shape). MTR has figured this out in the many years of constructing leather holsters with laser attachments. We want the best functional and safe holster for you for your protection. RMR/Red Dot Sight/Aftermarket Sights

**What is a red dot sight? Type of non-magnifying reflector (or reflex) sight for firearms, and other devices that require aiming, that gives the user an aimpoint in the form of an illuminated red dot.
**FAQ: If your Gun Make & Model option has the weapon and RMR together (ie: Sig Sauer P320 Full Size RX) please choose NO, so you do not get charged twice for the same attachment.

**If you have any aftermarket sights (night sights, suppressor sights, big dot sights) higher sights than normal, than please choose “YES” and specify your make and model
**Please keep in mind that once the order is received, the manufactures will check over the order to make sure all the options that you choose will function properly when manufacturing. Some options may not work properly when manufactured. This is something that we may not know until the holster is being built.

Grip Laser

If your laser is a grip laser and mounted on the grip of the weapon than please choose “YES” and specify your make and model of your laser.

ECR Instant On Viridaian Lasers

Enhanced Combat Readiness (ECR) now part of every universal Viridian laser. This can only be used with the Viridian C Series, X Series Gen 2 and Gen 3, and Reactor Series are equipped with INSTANT-ON technology and activate. Stitching Color

Wanna spice up your holster a little, or have a different holster than anyone else? Make the holster unique and custom by adding some color stitching to the front of the holster only. Each color is made with heavy duty nylon thread, to resist easy tearing or dry rot damage. We are unable to do color thread on mahogany colored items only black thread for mahogany colored items.

Double stitching is a second line of stitching. This will aid is better retention and long term use of the holster.

Holster Cant Position *

Holster cant is the angle at which the gun rides in the holster. A gun that is carried vertically in the holster has a zero degree of cant and is in a neutral or “straight-drop” position. Forward/Positive/Standard cant would have the gun carried with a tilt forward, such as the FBI cant. An FBI cant is usually between 10 or 20 degrees, most commonly 15 degrees forward.

Holster End

The holster end means that the barrel of your weapon will be cover, but you have the option to having the holster end sewn at the bottom or leaving it open. This is a preference of choice. Leaving the holster end open is good for target shooting. This will allow for debris to exit the barrel of the weapon after shooting a lot. Flip side, if carry the weapon in a pouch or outdoors (riding a horse, bike, hunting, etc), one may want to enclose the bottom. So debris will not enter the barrel of the weapon. Keep in mind, that if you have a laser or light attachment, than the bottom of the holster may be enclosed (Please see FAQ page for more information).

Internal Liner

When we craft a holster we use the smooth bull hide leather on the outside and the ruffer portion on the inside. When someone adds a liner we add a second layer of thinner bullhide leather and use the smooth side inside the holster with the two ruff sides against each other. This process is to enable is a smooth drawing of the weapon, instead of suede having some friction when drawing. Secondly, suede tends to not mold as easy on the inside as the bullhide, enabling less retention. The bullhide leather molds with great detail and definition in the leather. The bullhide leather is not as thick as the suede causing better concealment of the holster when wearing.

Exotic Leather

Choosing exotic leather will increase the strength and durability of the holster. . The exotic leathers listed below is some of the strongest leathers available! The texture is much more defined than the others leathers. Exotic leather is a dense material that helps resist moisture and scratch proof. Well worth every penny! The Avenger Scabbard holster is one of the oldest styles of holsters out on the market today. A very popular holster design allows the person to carry OWB with full coverage of the barrel and take up less belt space as a traditional belt slide pancake holster. The Avenger Scabbard holsters still have two points of contact with a belt loop sewn on the back and a tight-fitting belt slot outside the trigger guard of the holster. This holster has a reinforced mouth for easy re-holstering, as well as a very durable loop on the back for long term use. We use heavy black nylon thread to sew close to the shape of the weapon, to help prevent stretching. The Avenger Scabbard holster fully conceals the weapon, preventing damage to barrel and internal parts of the weapon. The belt slots on the Avenger Scabbard can fit up to 1-1/2 gunbelt (2 layer) or 1-3/4 regular belt (1 layer).

***Keep in mind that each holster may look different due to the firearm that you choose. Revolvers and semi-automatics will have a different look and pattern. Especially, if one has a light/laser/optic will alter the pattern. Extra options that you choose will also make the holster look different than the picture, but only to function and wear best to the weapon and options that you choose!

    This is the second holster. They both were ordered with the toe pocket sewn shut. On this holster the pocket was not completely shut. But this holster is a bit smaller than the first. Over all I am very satisfied and would purchase again.

    Not satisfied at all!!!

    I sent a modified flashlight of my own in for a custom mold, only to have it returned to me damaged! With my own personal flashlight damaged aside, the holster isn’t even molded to the proper fit! It was molded for the flashlight to hang way off the front of the firearm, even though I specifically requested it be be shaped to fit the firearm with the flashlight mounted closest to the trigger guard.

    I have contacted customer service via email AND phone, only to be put on the back burner and informed I would be contacted when it is discussed. I still have not received a return call from customer service. My flashlight is damaged, and my holster doesn’t fit!
