Threaded Barrel/Red Dot Sight/Aftermarket Sights

**What is a red dot sight? Type of non-magnifying reflector (or reflex) sight for firearms, and other devices that require aiming, that gives the user an aimpoint in the form of an illuminated red dot.
**FAQ: If your Gun Make & Model option has the weapon and RMR together (ie: Sig Sauer P320 Full Size RX) please choose NO, so you do not get charged twice for the same attachment.

Stitching Color * 

Wanna spice up your holster a little, or have a different holster than anyone else? Make the holster unique and custom by adding some color stitching to the front of the holster only. Each color is made with heavy duty nylon thread, to resist easy tearing or dry rot damage. Keep in mind that colored thread may affect the color of the holster, the holster could be lighter or darker because its a different dying processing and so the dye will not run onto the thread.

Stitching * 

Double stitching is a second line of stitching. This will aid in better retention and long term use of the holster. (extra $15.99)

Holster Attachment * 

Tuckable Spring Steel Clip come on the holster, this clip requires a sturdy 1-1/2″ gun belt 1/4″ for the best function of this holster. Ulticlip3+ has a flat mounting area with 2 slots and 1 hole allowing for multiple mounting options; does not require a belt, mounts directly onto the pants and the belt would go on top of the clip for better concealment. Ulticlip XL is the world’s first multi-tool holster clip and locking steel belt loop. No longer do you have to choose between a holster clip or belt loop; with Ulticlip XL you can have both.

Holster End

The holster end means that the barrel of your weapon will be cover, but you have the option to having the holster end sewn at the bottom or leaving it open. This is a preference of choice. Leaving the holster end open is good for target shooting. This will allow for debris to exit the barrel of the weapon after shooting a lot. Flip side, if carry the weapon in a pouch or outdoors (riding a horse, bike, hunting, etc.), one may want to enclose the bottom. So debris will not enter the barrel of the weapon. (Please see FAQ page for more information).

Internal Liner

When we craft a holster we use the smooth bull hide leather on the outside and the ruffer portion on the inside. When someone adds a liner we add a second layer of thinner bullhide leather and use the smooth side inside the holster with the two ruff sides against each other. This process is to enable is a smooth drawing of the weapon, instead of suede having some friction when drawing. Secondly, suede tends to not mold as easy on the inside as the bullhide, enabling less retention. The bullhide leather molds with great detail and definition in the leather. The bullhide leather is not as thick as the suede causing better concealment of the holster when wearing.

Exotic Leather

Choosing exotic leather will increase the strength and durability of the holster. The exotic leathers listed below is some of the strongest leathers available! The texture is much more defined than the other leathers. Exotic leather is a dense material that helps resist moisture and scratch proof. Well worth every penny! Thumb Break Strap

On large DA (double action) weapons the thumb break is placed decocked. Smaller SA/DA (single action/double action) weapons the thumb break is placed cocked and locked. If you would like your thumb break placed differently, then please add that in the comment section. If you order a holster with a thumb break there is no returns or exchanges or refunds under any condition.

The Deluxe Thoroughbred Holster is the most comfortable IWB Tuckable holster we offer. This is a major upgrade from the original A-1 Thoroughbred Holster. The deluxe thoroughbred holster comes with a suede backing to add comfort against the body. We don’t stop there; we add memory foam like material embedded inside the suede backing to add a cushion to your body. So if you are leaning against your weapon, then it will feel like memory foam pillow against your side. People are sometimes turned away by the initial size of this holster.  But actually this holster only adds 1/8 of an inch (plus the gun’s width) to your pants. The NEW Deluxe Thoroughbred Holster is now slimmer than the original A-1 Thoroughbred Holster.

Functionally of the deluxe thoroughbred  is amazing and like no other holster. Conceals very nicely, wraps the body and distributes the weight of the firearm, thus giving the ability to carry a much larger frame gun. While being comfortable for all day wear and still having a smaller profile. The combat cut, as given on the original A-1 Thoroughbred is an additional $6.00 as for the new Deluxe Thoroughbred holster the option is given and FREE (check out FAQ page for more info regarding combat cut).

The Deluxe Thoroughbred holster offers the most protection from sharp edges, safety, slide locks, and beaver tails. Not only does it protect you from the gun, it also protects the gun from the salts and sweat from your skin (body oils).  Comes with two powder coated spring steel holster clips that are adjustable for ride height. There are 3 holes 1 inch apart on each side of the holster to allow you to adjust the cant and ride height of your holster. For a better and faster draw!

There is many options that you can choose from to attach the holster to your pants or belt. Options like: tuckable leather straps with a metal grade directional snap, tuckable spring steel powdered coated metal clips and lastly our new Ulticlip3.

The Deluxe Thoroughbred has a reinforced mouth piece for easy re-holstering. We use heavy nylon thread to help reduce against dry rotten, tearing or snagging like cotton thread. With this holster you have the option to choose your thread color and holster color.

The holster clips can fit up to 1-1/2 gun belt (2 layer) or 1-3/4 regular belt (1 layer).

This is no doubt the holster of choice to be wearing IWB!

It looks so great out the package I almost hated to use it. Top notch quality and excellent craftsmanship. The only drawback is the order time but it’s worth the wait.

    I ordered a holster for my Walther q5 match. I didn’t realize that the steel frame gun was different from the polymer gun. When the holster arrived the steel frame didn’t fit in the holster that was fabricated for the polymer gun

    Customer service had me return the holster and they made me a brand new holster that fit the steel frame. I only had to pay $10 for shipping.

    In todays world of dwindling customer service, I’d say that MTR goes above and beyond the call of duty

    BEAUTIFUL holster…such a shame to hide it IWB! Only thing I’d change is maybe a 2nd screw on each belt loop to keep it from twisting around while sliding the belt on & off. Yes, I know it has snaps…but if my belt is already off, why mess with them? Still a solid 5/5, though…so comfortable I forget I have it on, and makes my full-size 1911 disappear.

    First custom holster I’ve ever ordered due to nothing being available for a 3″ Smith, and only after hours of research between companies. Glad I chose correctly. Most comfortable holster I’ve ever worn and I carry every day often working long hours, nothing has ever come close even with my much lighter weight firearms.     It is a great holster, but for one thing, I wish it did a better job of covering the beaver tail on my p365xl. When moving a lot it can move and begin digging in. Slightly more leather there would make all the difference in the world.

    The holster arrived ahead of the estimated schedule, and that was quite pleasing. While the lead time seems long, the holsters are hand-made, so it is to be expected.
    The unboxing went well, and the inner packaging that contained the actual holster also had care instructions. Although these are available on the website, it’s a thoughtful inclusion. The holster itself was quite beautiful, and the fit and finish are top-notch. No dangling thread ends, no parts even slightly out of alignment; indeed, I would rate the craftsmanship as exceptional, and I am totally satisfied with my purchase.
    The holster fit my sidearm like a glove, and while it is a very snug fit, in my case I did not need to do any work to finalize the fit. While the thumb-break strap did need a bit of encouragement the first time, even that required almost no effort. I opted for the UltiClip XL to secure the holster on my belt, and once you snap them into place, that holster is not going to move. If you didn’t get it exactly where you wanted it, you have to unlock the clips in order to slide it forward or back. Once you get it in the right place, it’ll stay there.
    In conclusion, while these are not the cheapest on the market, nor the quickest to get delivered, you do get exactly what you’re paying for. High-quality, hand-made custom-fitted leather holsters, made with thick and solid pieces of leather that will last for years and years. Comfortable and secure, and well worth the time and money.
    5/5, would buy again.

    The craftsmanship on my holster is amazing. It came exactly as I ordered it. The amount of options offered is incredible. I looked at tons of holster companies and very few offer one for my current EDC + light & red dot. MTR had that and more. It is incredibly comfortable to wear all day. It is so comfortable that if I need to temporarily secure my gun in my vehicle I can’t even feel the empty holster is there. I believe I was quoted a lead time of 15-16 weeks but it showed up in about 11 or 12 and it was well worth the wait. I was a little apprehensive about the price as it was a bit more expensive than other holsters I’ve bought but once I got it any and all of that concern was gone. You can tell it is an incredibly well made, quality holster and it’s the last holster I will ever need to buy for this gun. This holster is the definition of a buy it for life product, I’m sure it will outlive me.
